The Interstellar Satellights use custom color combinations to create a unique finish reminiscent of celestial objects. At the core of FURTHUR is a design sense rooted in the 70’s vision of the future as exhibited in popular culture and films like 2001: A Space Odyssey and Star Wars and the Satellights mimic the look of planetary bodies featured in them.
Multiple tones of color chips are melted and swirled to create the custom colorways that make each light wholly unique. Torches are then used to spot heat a specific area that is sucked in to create the crater. A hot rod is then attached to the center to pull out the tip to give the element a radar-like appearance. Each light sits atop a chrome table base socket that comes furnished with a 6 foot cord and rocker on/off switch.
